Signs For Those Who Reflect.

I initially intended to explore Haytham Mohammed's connection to Slough and its residents. Over time, I narrowed my focus to the relationship between Haytham and his mother, Munira Fahima (known as Aunty Muni). The project documents a time of turbulence for the family-a year after the loss of Haytham's father, Saleh Mohammed, and amid uncertainty over where the council would move them. The work shows that even in adversity, one can find a home between our faith and those we love.

“And one of His signs is that He created for you from amongst yourselves, spouses, so that you may find tranquillity in them, and He placed between your (hearts) love and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for people who reflect.” -Surah Rum 30:21
