ABOUT

Dan Higginson is a documentary photographer born and raised in the Medway towns of Kent who frequently travels for commissions. Inspired by his working-class roots, he works on themes of connection with an authentically gentle approach, believing that his role is to develop a mutual, unguarded trust with his subjects.

Currently studying Documentary Photography and Photojournalism at UAL, his work has been published in The Guardian and The Big Issue and has been included in various group exhibitions at galleries in London, such as Copeland Gallery and The Art House.

Known for thinking deeply about his craft, Higginson was the founding member of an ever-growing creative community, The Idle Hands Society. Along with long-term collaborator Paul Bence, he co-hosts a podcast exploring creative process and championing artists from many disciplines.
